CHANGES TO THE CDM REGULATIONS 2015 - ARE YOU PREPARED?
From 6th April 2015, the Construction (Design & Management) Regulations were revised from the 2007 Edition to the new CDM 2015.
We can help!
The main changes include the following:-
1. All construction projects including previously non-notifiable developments to the Health & Safety Executive will now need to conform to the CDM 2015 Regulations.
2. All domestic projects will also need to conform to the CDM 2015 Regulations. The minimum requirements will include appointing the Main Contractor to act as the Principal Contractor. The Principal Contractor is to prepare a Construction Phase Plan before any work on site commences, together with a Health & Safety Plan.
Alternatively, clients can appoint DFAL to act as the Principal Designer to co-ordinate Health & Safety.
NOTE: If appointed as Lead Designers, we will need to provide a Design Risk Assessment for all projects including domestic.
Please refer to the HSE website for details of Client/your duties:- http://www.hse.gov.uk/construction/cdm.htm
